PSA INOX STAR fall protection anchorage point

RUD say their fall-protection anchorage points offer the ultimate in safety when working at height

ACCORDING to RIDDOR, falls from height were the most common cause of workplace deaths in 2013/14, accounting for nearly three in 10 (29%) fatal injuries.

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of more than 500 different tested and certified lifting/lashing points, RUD say their fall-protection anchorage points provide the ultimate safety factor by permanently attaching to structures where frequent fall protection is required.

The RUD fall-protection anchorage point range consists of the PSA-VRS (STAR POINT) and the PSA INOX STAR. These anchorage points are not lifting points of the traditional type; instead they are designed as ‘fixing points’, which means that they can be used as personnel protection equipment.

Certified by the Employers Liability Insurance Association and BG Bau, RUD Chains’ fall-protection anchorage points correspond to the European Directive for ‘personal protective equipment’ (89/686/EWG) and are CE marked and stamped with the number of people (one or two) that can be carried.

The fully crack-inspected and corrosion-resistant INOX STAR can be used as an anchor point for personal protective equipment, in accordance with DIN EN 795, offers a 50% higher working load limit than a DIN eye bolt and can be turned 360° and adjusted to any load direction.

The STAR POINT can also be used as an anchor point for personal protective equipment, in accordance with DIN EN 795. It offers a safety factor of 4:1, is made from high tensile quenched and tempered forged material, and is 100% electromagnetically crack inspected according to EN 1677-1.
