Reducing tyre chain-fitting times with RUD

Easylock system

Company says its Easylock connecting ring system reduces chain fitting time by 30%

INSTALLATION and fitting of tyre-protection chains is a dangerous and strenuous job that can easily result in injuries to the fitter and chains. The Easylock system from RUD has been designed to make the fitting process safer, easier and faster process.

Designed as an innovative connecting ring, Easylock comprises only two components, is easy to handle, ensures safe installation and is said to reduce chain-fitting times by 30%.

The RUD system consists of an open omega ring and a locking hasp. Once the ring is passed through the wear links, the hasp is pushed over the two prongs. It is then secured with an Allen key, by a 90º turn of the integral locking device. Easylock remains in place until removed. The system can be retrofitted to any 19mm or 23mm tyre-protection chain.

The range also includes Easy-C-lock and Easy2lock. The former requires no hammer, making installation an extremely safe procedure. It is also easy to use and, again, has just two components to handle, thereby reducing chain-fitting time and increasing safety and overall efficiency.

The Easy2lock tyre chain fitting system also increases overall safety and handling during fitting. The system requires no tools and is self-locking, with no over-tension. Also, no screws are used, thus increasing the unit’s re-usability.
