Renold Gears add SMX series to ‘Rapid Response’ programme
Shaft-mounted gearbox range now added to the company’s ‘off-the-shelf’ delivery service scheme
RENOLD Gears say their SMX range of heavy-duty, shaft-mounted gearboxes is now available for immediate delivery as part of the company’s ‘Rapid Response’ programme.
The units feature hardened and profile-ground helical gears for maximum power transmission, high efficiency, long life and smooth operation. In addition, the gearboxes utilize high-capacity, heavy-duty roller bearings to ensure efficient operation and maximum load-carrying capacity for a wide range of applications.
The gearbox casings are manufactured from close-grain cast iron for robust strength and low-noise, vibration-free operation. Both sides are fully machined for face-mounting options and are interchangeable with Fenner (Eriks), Rexnord, Benzler, Sale and Dodge products to ensure quick and easy replacement.
The SMX gearbox range is available with a wide range of non-standard options including: enhanced seals on the output and input shafts for use in tough environments; and a sprag clutch backstop feature to help prevent drive reversal.
Renold say the gear units share the same standards of quality, reliability and service as their PM, TW and Carter gearbox ranges.
