New Caiman 150 shredder designed to perform in the most demanding recycling applications

COMPACT crushing and screening equipment manufacturers EvoQuip have launched the Caiman 150 — the first shredder to be added to the company’s portfolio. The Terex-designed and built machine is designed and manufactured to perform in the most demanding of recycling applications.

According to EvoQuip, the Caiman 150 provides high output with low operational costs and can be used in multiple applications such as C&D, asphalt, skip waste, green waste, and wood, as well as household waste.

‘We are excited to launch the first EvoQuip shredder, which will take the recycling side of our business to a new level,’ said Andrew Armstrong, product manager for EvoQuip.

‘Its use in C&D applications, in particular, ties in with our ‘Think Green, Think EvoQuip’ campaign, which illustrates our commitment and responsibility to sustainability. Forty percent of our machines are currently used in recycling applications, and the addition of the Caiman 150 will strengthen this ability of EvoQuip to offer solutions that reduce environmental impact globally.

‘The slow speed shafts, which produce up to 80,000Nm of torque per shaft, allow the Caiman 150 to work with the most demanding of materials. This, along with the ability to quickly change shafts, allows the end user to swiftly change from working in one application to another. Overall, the Caiman 150 is a fantastic addition to our range and one that has already been very well received by our distributors worldwide.’

The Caiman 150 has a compact and robust design, which allows it to be used in the smallest of spaces whilst maintaining an aggressive and powerful shredding system. With an intuitive control system, the machine is user-friendly, and its compact transport envelope allows it to be moved easily between sites. The hydrostatic drive offers high efficiency and protection against contamination and the 1.5m long shafts offers impressive throughput and excellent reduction.

The Caiman 150 comes with Terex’s T-Link telemetry system fitted as standard, providing customers with real-time information on the performance of their machine, leading to effective machine management and maximized uptime. These data can be accessed through a tablet or smartphone and provide comprehensive information on the location, fuel consumption, operational parameters and much more.

The Caiman 150 is available to order now for 2023.
