XCMG appoint new dealer for Scotland

Molson to sell and distribute full line of XCMG excavators and wheel loaders across country 

CHINESE construction equipment giant XCMG have awarded Molson Group the distribution rights of their excavators and wheel loaders in Scotland. The distributor’s specialist equipment division in the country, Molson Young Plant Sales, will have full responsibility for sales, service, and aftermarket care.

The addition of the premium Chinese brand of construction equipment fills a gap in the Molson portfolio north of the border. 

‘We have been looking to introduce an alternative excavator option into the Scottish market to complement our offering,’ said Henry Moore, commercial director of Molson Group. ‘We decided that the XCMG range met our requirements for build quality and use of well-respected and well-known components, all with the reassurance of a brand with a strong global heritage. 

‘Adding a wheel loader brand supports our core focus of offering a single-source supply solution to our customers. The XCMG wheel loaders in Scotland will only cement this focus for both Molson Young Plant Sales and Molson Finlay Scotland.’

Adding the XCMG brand to the Scottish market will also allow both Molson divisions to offer a comprehensive range of materials handling and earthmoving solutions to suit customers in a wide range of sectors, including construction, demolition, recycling, and quarrying.

XCMG products will be backed up by the national aftersales support that all Molson customers can access. With more than 95 mobile service engineers on standby and a significant investment in XCMG spare parts already made, the Molson aftermarket care team will be on hand to ensure any potential issues are dealt with quickly and effectively. In addition, each XCMG machine comes with a three-year warranty ensuring peace of mind for customers and plant operators alike.
