Tracked Turbo Shredder

Powerscreen have developed a tracked version of their Turbo Shredder to provide total site mobility on a heavy-duty low-ground-pressure crawler undercarriage.

Powered by a Cummins diesel engine type-QSC 8.3, developing 224kW and in compliance with Euro-Norm emissions ratings, the fully hydrostatic drive has power-regulated motors. The hydrostatics provide smooth travel, counter-rotation and stepless acceleration and deceleration. The operating weight of the new model is 20 tonnes. Automatic and fixed reverse are standard and there is a four-channel remote control with a separate emergency switch.

The tracked Turbo Shredder is equipped with five special patented knives on a 1,750mm tool shaft and 5/5 discs for high-performance material reduction. The shredder is fed by a hydraulically tilting 7m3 capacity hopper. The variable-speed discharge conveyor is 1,400mm wide with a discharge height on the tracked model of 3,500mm.
