Acquisition set to strengthen Tarmac’s civils and highways offer in the London market

TARMAC have announced the acquisition of civil engineering and highways maintenance contractors JB Riney.

The London-based company will continue to operate under the Riney name and will form part of the Highways Services division within Tarmac’s Contracting business.

Tarmac say the combined expertise of both businesses in the London market will strengthen their overall civils and highways customer offer, and build upon their existing network of strategic sites, logistics and operations in the south.

Tarmac will work with the JB Riney management team to maintain continuity for existing Riney customers.

With more than 40 years’ experience, Riney are one of the capital’s leading contractors, offering expertise in a number of areas, from term highways maintenance to civil engineering, surfacing, street lighting, winter maintenance and utilities infrastructure.
