Single global brand for Pegson and Powerscreen

TEREX Corp. have announced a major strategic initiative to unite their Terex Pegson and Powerscreen products and services under the Powerscreen name.

The move by the US firm follows a wide-ranging review of the company’s operations and means that all products and services bearing the Terex Pegson name and image will now carry the Powerscreen brand. Crusher products will also feature Powerscreen’s traditional green livery.

Describing the move as a way of leveraging the strength of one reinforced brand, Pat Brian, Powerscreen’s global sales director, said it formed the basis of a key strategic plan designed to deliver the best for customers, dealers and staff.

‘This powerful new brand will streamline our image and ‘look’, and make it easy to identify our top-quality products,’ he commented.

However, the respected Pegson name will not be disappearing altogether and will continue to be used on product descriptions. For example, the XH250 impactor will now be known as the Powerscreen Pegson XH250 impactor.

Earlier this year, Terex announced the establishment of two new manufacturing Centres of Excellence in Northern Ireland, as part of the company’s move towards leaner, more innovative manufacturing techniques.

Powerscreen screening equipment will be made at the centre in Dungannon, while Powerscreen Pegson crushing equipment will be produced at a similar specially designed facility in Omagh.
