SigmaRoc complete Johnston Quarry Group acquisition

JQG

Completion brings expanded product offering and reach across southern England and Wales

FURTHER to their announcement on 4 January 2022, AIM-quoted quarried materials group SigmaRoc have today announced the completion of the acquisition of Johnston Quarry Group Ltd.

Johnston Quarry Group (JQG) are high-quality producers of construction aggregates, building stone, and agricultural lime across eight sites in England.

Together with G.D. Harries, a SigmaRoc subsidiary operating six quarries in Wales, JQG will expand Group’s offering of construction materials and agricultural lime to customers in England and Wales.

SigmaRoc say the expansion of their product offering and geographical reach will benefit both companies, as well as the Group’s Precast Products Group (PPG) platform.

Max Vermorken, chief executive officer of SigmaRoc, said: ‘We are pleased to close the acquisition of Johnston Quarry Group and to formally welcome their 69 staff to the SigmaRoc Group.

‘As with every business we have bought to date, we aim to see it flourish, by respecting its history, its people, and building on its strengths.

‘The expanded offering across southern England and Wales, and interaction with the Group’s PPG platform, will deliver further synergies and growth.’
