Royal approval

JCB chief executive John Patterson welcomed HRH The Princess Royal to the JCB World Parts Centre last month where she performed the official opening of the new £27 million facility.

The high-tech, 300,000ft2 plant, situated next to the A50 in Uttoxeter, employs over 200 staff, carries more than 100,000 different items of stock, dispatches around 4,000 orders a day and uses advanced warehouse computer technology to ensure that almost all orders are delivered within 24h.

JCB say the centre is a core part of their aim to provide the best global customer support network in the industry.
