No waste at Mick George

Kiverco recycling plant

Company increases recycled production capacity with new waste-processing station

MICK George have further boosted their waste-management capacity, with the recent installation of a new Kiverco recycling plant at their Dogsthorpe site, in Peterborough.

The company manages large volumes of waste from construction/industrial sources and is keen to drive costs down for its customers in the region through increased recycling rates and, consequently, landfill diversion.

This is the second time in as many years that Mick George have partnered with Kiverco, having already installed a state-of-the-art recycling plant at their St. Ives site, in Cambridgeshire. The collaboration between the two companies is set to continue with two further plants planned in Mountsorrel (Leicestershire) and Great Billing (Northamptonshire).

Mick George’s recent investment in Kiverco equipment surpasses £2.6 million and the recycling centres are scheduled to be up and running by Q2 2019.

Michael George, managing director of the materials firm, commented: ‘Our business is ever expanding which subsequently means we’re handling more waste materials than ever before. In a market that is very competitive, our continued investment and innovative approach to technology allows us to provide our clients with the most efficient service.’

He continued: ‘Beyond that, regulations from overseas with regards to waste contamination levels is increasingly under scrutiny. We want to do our upmost in ensuring we’re supplying quality materials without sanction.’
