New CDE waste-recycling plant for PMG
Cutting-edge construction and demolition waste washing plant to be showcased at open day event in June
WET-processing equipment specialists CDE have recently commissioned a new waste-recycling facility for PMG, which will be showcased at an open day in Bristol next month.
Operational since February this year, the 25 tonnes/h wash plant at Severn Beach is the second CDE facility that PMG have invested in and it will process tanker waste materials, such as gully waste, road sweepings, and tipper waste to produce a selection of sand and aggregate products.
Clare McGuinness, managing director of PMG, commented: ‘The opening of this waste-recycling facility marks a major step forward in our commitment to sustainability. This plant will not only divert more waste from landfills but will also transform waste into valuable recycled materials. By turning road sweepings and gully waste into reusable resources, we're not only protecting the environment but also creating new revenue streams that support our local economy.’
With a growing emphasis on creating a circular economy through recycling and repurposing of waste material to align with the UK’s circular economy objectives, Fergal Campbell, UK key accounts manager for CDE, says this facility is contributing to long-term environmental sustainability.
‘We’re delighted to have partnered with PMG on their second waste-recycling plant,’ he commented. ‘We’re determined to help our customers transform waste into an opportunity, such as high-quality sand and aggregates, which are essential for construction projects.
‘By investing in CDE’s technology, PMG is investing in a sustainable future. We look forward to showcasing our technology at this open house event next month to exhibit our expertise and present our cutting-edge solutions.’
