Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd strengthen 40-year bond with JCB
Waste-management firm boosts JCB machinery fleet with new 370X excavator
A NEW JCB 370X tracked excavator is proving its worth on heavy-duty projects for leading South West recycling and construction specialists Smiths (Gloucester). The new 370X – the largest and most powerful in JCB’s X Series – is said to deliver exceptional fuel efficiency, moving up to 4.5 tonnes more material per litre than rival machines.
Supplied by Holt JCB, the latest machine addition joins a fleet already packed with JCB backhoe loaders, Loadall telescopic handlers, mini- and midi-excavators, compaction rollers, site dumpers, Teletruks, tracked excavators, and wheeled loading shovels.
Paul Smith, a director at Smiths, said: ‘We choose JCB equipment because of the excellent support and service we receive. Having a good relationship with our dealer Holt JCB is invaluable. We have been buying JCB machines from them for over 40 years. The speed and consistency of the service are something that really makes a difference for us.’
He continued: ‘Our operators like the X Series for their power, comfort and durability. We had a demo 370X last year, and it was the perfect fit – strong, productive, and ideal for our fleet.’
With the new JCB 370X on board, Smiths are ready to tackle the region’s toughest projects with power, efficiency, and a family tradition of reliability.
