Citect’s process analyst function on their CitectSCADA V6 system is said to be an answer to this problem. It eliminates the need for engineers to build custom analysis screens, providing instead an integrated trend and alarm viewer. Rather than having to compare a separate historical analogue trend display with an alarm summary or log printout, users can simply view them all on a single integrated high-quality, 32-bit, colour display. With the addition of over 500 new graphics symbols it is now easier and faster for engineers to create intuitive pages.
CitectSCADA V6 is also designed to enhance decision-making with the introduction of a new web client. This allows secure access from anywhere in a company and also offers the benefit of concurrent licensing, which saves money. The web client provides a link directly to the first page of the SCADA system and allows on-line changes to graphics pages.
