Metso Outotec and MSS sign UK distribution deal

Maintenance Solutions & Services now offering Trellex screen media and lining and conveyor solutions

METSO Outotec and Maintenance Solutions & Services Ltd (MSS) have agreed a distribution deal in the UK. With effect from October 2021, MSS will be offering Metso Outotec’s Trellex screen media and lining and conveyor solutions for aggregates quarrying and recycling customers in England, Scotland, and Wales.

‘We are warmly welcoming MSS to the Metso Outotec distributor network,’ said Olli-Pekka Oksanen, senior vice-president of the distribution management office at Metso Outotec. ‘Our expectation is that the partnership will help to strengthen our customer service in the region and that our aggregate customers will be able to enjoy faster service and closer relationships with MSS’s skilled local personnel.’

‘The relationship with Metso Outotec and their industry-acknowledged Trellex brand and associated products will enhance our portfolio of products and enable a mutually beneficial service to the UK aggregates sector,’ commented MSS director Simon Bailey. ‘Metso Outotec are known for innovation and problem solving, which are the same qualities we strive for at MSS.’

MSS, who have a large existing customer base in the quarrying, construction, demolition, and recycling sectors, are known for their flexibility and knowledge, and their added capabilities complement Metso Outotec’s aggregates service offering in the UK.

‘From the first discussions with MSS it became clear that they can provide much more than the traditional services,’ added Claes Edin, screening sales support manager for aftermarket distribution at Metso Outotec. ‘MSS have workshop capabilities to fabricate tailor-made solutions from standard products which will be stocked at their facilities. They also provide a 24/7 maintenance service for Metso Outotec’s aggregates customers.’

A family-owned business with almost 50 staff members and a head office and workshop in Leicestershire, MSS’s portfolio of products and services includes 24-hour on-site maintenance, wear solutions, consultancy, fabrication work, plant installations, and decommissioning.
