Metso acquire Santa Ana de Bolueta SA

Company strengthens full scope comminution services offering with acquisition of Spanish grinding media supplier

METSO have completed the acquisition of Spanish grinding media suppliers Santa Ana de Bolueta SA (Sabo) for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will complement Metso’s current comminution wear parts offering for mining customers.

Sabo are reputable and well-known grinding media providers with excellent know-how, and the acquisition fits perfectly into our strategy. Through this acquisition, we will become a full comminution services partner for our customers,’ said João Ney Colagrossi, president Metso Mining and Construction’s  services business line.

 

‘By adding grinding media expertise to our portfolio, we gain a better overall control of mill performance. We can offer comprehensive value-adding services packages that will materially improve the productivity of our customers’ processes and their overall performance. We will utilize Sabo’s know-how when we develop our global services strategy further during the coming years.’

Grinding media is used inside grinding mills to improve the efficiency of the grinding process. Sabo’s offering covers grinding media for SAG, ball mill and Vertimill grinding applications. as well as bars for rod mills. These are available in different diameters and materials to guarantee the best performance for the mineral to be processed.
