Latest skid-steers from Case

The latest series of Case skid-steer loaders, the 400 Series, comprises four radial-lift and two vertical-lift models that range from 36.5kW to 60kW and 2,500kg to 3,480kg operating weight. Key features of the new series include: an extra-heavy-duty design, Tier II-certified engines, improved reliability, improvements in efficiency, and easier servicing.

The 430, 440 and 445 benefit from new, large-displacement, high-torque, long-life Case NEF (new engine family) engines that provide improved fuel management and lower maintenance costs. The Tier II-certified engines also provide smoother power for improved productivity. The 410, with an operating weight of 2,490kg, and the 420, with an operating weight of 2,640kg, also benefit from powerful diesel engines that deliver 38kW and 44kW, respectively, matched to a hydrostatic transmission drive.  A new cooling system across the range provides more balanced cooling to the engine and hydraulics.

Low-effort, servo-assisted hydrostatic controls provide positive control of the machine’s functions and help reduce operator fatigue.

The instrument panel has been repositioned to give a clear eye line to the bucket, tyres and kerb line, to facilitate precision working and enhance safety. Other switches and controls have also been repositioned to be more convenient for the operator. All models, except the 410 and 420, feature an optional two-speed operation, allowing the machines to quickly accelerate to over 18km/h for quicker cycle times and movement around job sites.

All models feature a ROPS cab that can be tilted to provide easy access for maintenance.

The 435 and 445 models feature a Power Reach vertical heavy-lift loader linkage that is said to provide the industry’s highest lift capacity.

An extensive range of attachments are available including: buckets, pallet forks, breakers, augers, sweepers, backhoes, stump grinders, cement mixers, cold planers, trenchers, rollers, slot cutters etc.
