JCB LiveLink

Plant operators are set to reap the benefits of a new satellite-based monitoring system being introduced by JCB on their full range of machines. JCB LiveLink is an advanced telematics system providing a wealth of machine information for the user, including hours worked, fuel consumption, water temperature and engine oil pressure.

One of the system’s major features is its ability to protect machines against theft. JCB LiveLink customers can set a ‘geofence’ around their equipment for improved security. If the machine moves out of the designated area, an alert will be sent by either email or text. The user can also monitor where their machines are, whether the engine is on or off, and when the engine was last on, as well as mechanical data.

Matthew Taylor, JCB chief operating officer, said: ‘JCB LiveLink provides our customers with an extremely high-tech system that will help them run their businesses more efficiently and profitably by improving both productivity and servicing. With the use of immobilization on JCB machines, JCB LiveLink is also a strong deterrent to thieves by making the equipment harder to steal and simpler to recover.’

The LiveLink unit can be purchased either with the machine from the factory, or as a retrofit system direct from JCB dealers.
