IQ releases third and fourth Skills Wheel videos

IQ Skills Wheel

Final two videos released on ‘Personal Effectiveness’ and ‘Engagement, Influence & Impact’

THE Institute of Quarrying (IQ) has released the third and fourth videos in its Skills Wheel series promoting the benefits of continuous professional development.

The third video is ‘Personal Effectiveness’, focusing on raising awareness of personal attributes for quarrying and mineral extractives professionals and how to evaluate personal strengths and weaknesses in order to grow personally and professionally.

The fourth and final video in the series is ‘Engagement, Influence & Impact’. The short, two-minute programme focuses on building awareness of how to interact as a team member. This segment of the Skills Wheel considers how quarrying and mineral extractives professionals should aim to work within teams and the wider communities and networks.

IQ chief executive Phil James said of the project: ‘Continuous professional development is an essential investment for future success, for both individuals and operators, and our Skills Wheel is designed to help everyone within the industry achieve the relevant skills to reach their highest potential.

‘It is evident in our video series that our members are passionate about acquiring these skills and continuously focusing on career development.’

All four videos can be viewed on the IQ’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn pages. Search Institute of Quarrying.
