Gas detection device from Honeywell
Honeywell have unveiled Signalpoint Pro, an Intrinsically Safe-certified (IS) gas-detector that offers a low-cost solution for the detection of toxic and oxygen gases in potentially explosive environments.
Designed for use in a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, the unit detects toxic gases or oxygen in an IS two-wire 4-20mA format, which makes it suitable for retrofitting other two-wire IS devices, including the Sieger Series 2000 range of IS toxic gas detectors.
As well as flexibility, Signalpoint Pro offers excellent reliability and ease of use; its smart gas sensors are automatically recognized when plugged into the detector and access to the sensor does not require opening the main terminal housing. This reduces downtime during sensor replacement procedures.
The product also utilizes a magnetically activated switch, allowing calibration and test routines without opening the enclosure or having to obtain a hot work permit.
