Earthline expand their options with Terex Finlay fleet

Flexible mobile plant configurations provide a variety of processing options at Shipton Quarry

EARTHLINE, the Wiltshire-based specialists in contract earthmoving, landfill and aggregate supplies, are building-up flexible plant configurations with machinery supplied by Finlay Plant SW to meet a variety of processing requirements at the company’s Shipton Quarry site, in Oxfordshire.

The latest additions to Earthline’s Terex Finlay fleet include a J-1175 jaw crusher as well as 863 and 883 heavy-duty screens. They join existing Terex Finlay machines including two 683 inclined screens, another J-1175 jaw crusher and a C-1540 cone crusher, all of which work in unison to process the limestone quarried at the site.

Processed material includes 75–40mm gabion for use in road and railway projects, while the new 863 also provides Type 1 material. Further single-sized products comprising 40mm, 40–20mm, 20–10mm, 10–5mm and –5mm are also processed by the machines.

Working at up to 200 tonnes/h, the various machinery configurations allow the Earthline team to remain flexible to meet market demand.

Steve Wiltshire, site manager at Shipton Quarry, said: ‘The machinery works well and gives us lots of options in terms of what we process. With different meshes, we can make totally different products.

‘We are particularly impressed with the new 863. We had it on trial and decided to keep it. We also receive excellent support on site from Finlay Plant SW, which is really important for us.’

Gareth Johnson, managing director of Finlay Plant SW – part of the Finlay Group of companies, said: ‘The machinery operating at Shipton provides a sophisticated, perfectly matched-up system. It is all geared-up to offer a number of flexible options, ensuring high-value products are processed with maximum output.’
