Changes at the top of Colas Ltd

Lee Rushbrook and Carl Fergusson

Carl Fergusson to succeed Lee Rushbrook as CEO of the British subsidiary of Colas Group

LEE Rushbrooke, chief executive officer of Colas Ltd, the British subsidiary of Colas Group, is to step down on 3 September 2018 after seven years at the helm to take on a new executive role within the Colas Group in the US.

Executive director Carl Fergusson has been appointed as chief executive officer designate, with effect from 2 July 2018. He has been with Colas for 30 years and recently spearheaded an 18-month strategic review of the company, which aims to reposition Colas in the marketplace.

Lee Rushbrooke said: ‘I have had 32 enjoyable years during my career at Colas Ltd in various roles from trainee through to chief executive officer. The company has seen significant change over the years and is now ready to implement and deliver against our new strategy.

‘Aligned to the Group One Colas Strategy and DGI Route 22 roadmap, the future plans for our business in the UK and overseas are strong. We have the full support from our shareholder for our ambitious growth aspirations as we position ourselves to capitalize on the significant infrastructure investment promised over the next five years.’

Carl Fergusson added: ‘I am pleased to be leading the ongoing transformation of Colas Ltd and look forward to implementing our growth plans, which will draw upon the strength of the international Colas Group and bring greater value to our customers through improved productivity, efficiency and our reputation for innovation.’
