Lafarge Tarmac win Excellence in Customer Service Award 2014 for Gatwick airport project
LAFARGE Tarmac have won the prestigious British Ready-mixed Concrete Association’s (BRMCA) ‘Excellence in Customer Service Award’ 2014 for their part in the Gatwick airport project.
The award was received at the Grosvenor Hotel, London, on 29 October at the Concrete Society’s annual ceremony.
Specialists from Lafarge Tarmac’s ready-mixed concrete team were on hand to collect the award in recognition of their work with both Landbuild and Gatwick, to provide a fully engineered solution to the project within Gatwick North Terminal.
Ignacio Escobar, national specification manager for readymix at Lafarge Tarmac, said: ‘This project was a great example of what can be achieved through early engagement and close working relationships with our clients.
‘By working collaboratively on the project to ensure we engineered and provided a solution to their requirements, we were able to deliver the project with no impact on the daily operations in this busy environment.’
He continued: ‘Winning this award is testament to the work of our teams across the business. Commitment to our customers is one of our core values and this recognition for our efforts is something we are extremely proud of.’
