Bobcat widen range of products for winter work

With the launch of several new compact loader models, Bobcat have widened their range of products for winter work. Among the latest in the new generation of loaders from Bobcat are the S630 and S650 skid-steer and T650 compact tracked loaders.

In combination with the appropriate winter attachments, from snowblowers to buckets for clearing heavy snowfalls, to salt and sand spreaders to prevent the build up of snow and ice, the expanded range of tool carriers from Bobcat, that also includes articulated loaders and telehandlers, offers an even wider variety of solutions for dealing with winter weather. To enhance working on snow, Bobcat also offer optional steel tracks to go over tyres on the wheeled loaders as well as individual tyre snow chains.

The variety of attachment and carrier combinations provides a range of solutions for a wide range of applications.

The four snow blower models from Bobcat offer widths varying from 1,220mm to 2,134mm and are now available with different hydraulic motor packages, allowing the customer to select a suitable match between the snow blower and the hydraulics on the loader models. The snow blowers offer maximum throw distances from 7.6m to 13.7m and have a rotating chute and deflector to point the snow in the direction desired.

The Bobcat snow blade, available in six widths from 1,219mm to 2,438mm, is designed to quickly remove light or moderate snow from pavements and driveways. An optional end-wing kit converts the 2,134mm and 2,743mm models into high-production snow pushers, suitable for use in car parks and other larger areas.

Large capacity buckets with widths from 1,371mm to 2,540mm and capacities from 0.36m3 to 1.53m3, are available for handling snow. They have high backs to help with pushing snow and straight sides to penetrate snow piles.

For the removal of light snowfalls, 100mm or less in depth, the Bobcat angle broom is designed for use on pedestrian pathways, providing quick access by removing snow in just one pass.

The hydraulic salt and sand spreader is suitable for spreading in confined areas where larger equipment cannot be used. This attachment has a hopper capacity of 250 litres. The hopper can be used as a bucket to allow the spreader to be filled from a pile. The spread pattern is controlled by a hydraulic motor and ranges from 5.6m to 8.7m, depending on the hydraulic flow of the carrier.
