Bobcat launch 700 Series loaders

New series of compact loaders adds three models to company’s family of new generation loaders

Bobcat’s new 700 Series compact loaders, all with vertical lift path design, offer several new features and enhancements that significantly extend the range of applications for compact loaders.

The 700 Series comprises a new skid-steer loader model, the S770, a new compact tracked loader, the T770, and a new all-wheel-steer (AWS) loader, the A770.

The new models are part of a new large frame platform that fits between the extended medium- (600 Series) and extended large-frame loaders (800 Series) introduced in 2010. Powered by 68.6kW Kubota V3800-DI-T-E3 diesel engine with a rated speed (SAE JI 995 Gross) of 2,400 rev/min, the S770, T770 and A770 replace the S300/S330, T300/T320 and A300 models, respectively. All three new loaders offer higher rated operating capacities and increased engine and hydraulic power, allowing users to take on new, more demanding applications.

The S770 loader has an operating weight of 4,162 kg, a rated operating capacity of 1,569kg and a tipping load of 3,137kg. The rated operating capacity and tipping load for the T770 compact tracked loader are 1,611kg and 4,602kg, respectively. The T770 loader has an operating weight of 4,683kg. The A770 AWS loader has an operating weight of 4,291kg, a rated operating capacity of 1,550kg and a tipping load of 3,100kg.

As well as higher performance and power, the new 700 Series loaders offer improved visibility, comfort and uptime protection. All three models have a height of 2,065mm, a length with bucket of 3,597mm and a bucket hinge pin height of 3,353mm. The S770 and A770 have a width without bucket of 1,832mm compared to a width over the tracks for the T770 of 1,981mm.

The S770, T770 and A770 share several innovative features that characterize all of the new generation loaders from Bobcat. Prominent among them is the design of the spacious new premium cab, which has the following features:

  • a new forward position that offers a 30% increase in all-round visibility for the operator
  • forward visibility enhanced by a 45% larger glass pane in door
  • enhanced visibility through top, side and rear windows
  • 50% increase in the output from the front working lights
  • ample adjustment in seat and suspension to suit individual preference
  • adjustable SJC joysticks integrated on the seat arms
  • pressurized cab improving HVAC performance by 35%
  • improved hydraulic smoothness due to new cushions in the lift cylinders
  • radio-ready, 12V power outlet option for charging mobile phone/MP3 player/iPod
  • cup holder and additional storage compartments
  • new full-colour deluxe instrumentation panel option.

Like all new generation loaders, the 700 Series models offer faster cycle times, higher productivity, and improved attachment performance.

  • Traction on the new generation loaders has been increased by 15-20% to provide greater pushing and digging power.
  • The standard flow hydraulic efficiency has been increased by over 30%, providing better attachment performance. Hydraulic flow has been increased by 11% or 9 l/min. The pressure of the pumps has been increased by almost 14 bar, while back pressure of the hydraulic system has been reduced by 7 bar.
  • Higher hydraulic performance results in faster cycle times with an 18% faster dump/rollback cycle.
  • Optional high-flow hydraulic power (151 l/min) has been optimized by ensuring that peak flow occurs close to the rated engine load, providing better fuel efficiency and engine cooling.
  • A larger double fuel tank allows for longer work intervals between refuelling.
  • The cooling package is the same as on the new larger S850 and T870 loaders. Cooling capabilities are increased due to a larger cooling fan and a more efficient design of the fan shroud, which is made entirely of aluminium to ensure the best heat rejection and improved corrosion resistance. The screen has thinner fins.

The hydraulic quick-coupler block is integrated and protected in the lift arm.  An integrated rear bumper protects the tailgate. The 700 Series loaders offer good serviceability with an easily accessible box-style air filter, a transversely mounted engine and swing-open tailgate. A swing-up oil cooler allows fast and easy cleaning of the oil cooler and radiator. Hydraulic oil filtration down to 10 microns significantly reduces the possibility of contamination.
