Banner Contracts add UK’s first SBM REMAX 600 to their fleet

SBM’s flagship mobile impact crusher years ahead of competitors, say Banner Contracts

BANNER Contracts have added the UK’s first SBM REMAX 600 impact crusher to their fleet of mobile crushers and screens. The SBM REMAX 600 is the flagship machine in the Austrian manufacturer’s range of hybrid electrified crushers.

With a 1,400mm wide rotor and 1.8m x 5.5m screenbox (available in one-, two- or three-deck configurations), the REMAX 600 is capable of producing up to five different finished products at a production rate of up to 600 tonnes/h.

Moreover, fuel consumption figures are as low as 27 litres/h of diesel, with SBM boasting the most advanced, efficient, and proven hybrid electrified drive system in the market (having been hybrid pioneers since 1980), delivering best-in-class fuel efficiency and crushing performance.

Equally impressive, say Banner Contracts, is the cutting-edge technology hidden beneath the REMAX 600’s sleek and futuristic looking frame – the world’s first Autonomous Crushing technology. Developed by SBM, this system continuously and autonomously monitors wear of impact tools and blow bars and carries out automatic gap adjustment quickly and safely during operation without emptying the crusher.

According to Banner Contracts, anyone who has experience operating impact crushers will understand just how beneficial this system will be – no longer will they set operating parameters to optimize output only to see production figures quickly falling due to hammer wear. Instead, the crusher will constantly monitor and adjust itself to ensure that output is constantly optimized, thus maximizing production and minimizing fuel consumption per tonne.

‘Having tried the range of SBM REMAX crushers in our contracting fleet, we have found their output and low running costs to be years ahead of the competitors,’ said Andrew Banner of Banner Contracts.

‘We’ve been in the game for 40 years now, so it’s fair to say we know what we’re looking for when it comes to a mobile crusher. The SBM REMAX 300, 400, and 450 produce some of the best aggregate we’ve seen and our customers notice a considerable difference in the uniformity and overall quality of the product.

‘The low fuel consumption of these machines also massively lowers the carbon footprint of the products we produce for our customers. Having witnessed the capabilities of the REMAX 600 first-hand at the launch event in Austria, adding one to our fleet was an easy decision – it’s a phenomenal machine.’

Banner Equipment will be showcasing the REMAX 600 on the SBM stand at Hillhead 2024 from 25–27 June.
