Another Hyundai machine for Kremer Recycling

Hyundai HL940XT wheel loader

Purchase of HL940XT wheel loader to help meet demand for recycled aggregates

KREMER Recycling have invested in another Hyundai HL940XT loading shovel for their waste-recycling site in Löbnitz, near the German city of Leipzig. Supplied by authorized Hyundai dealers Tecklenborg Baumaschinen of Leisnig, the new wheel loader will run alongside an existing three-year-old HL940XT to help process more waste and meet the rising demand for high-quality, affordable recycled products in the local and regional markets.

Both HL940XTs offer impressive power and versatility; for example, the higher XT extended lifting mast gives both machines a tipping height of 2,930mm for loading on to heavy-duty dumptrucks. The high-tipping version is said to be a variant favoured by most recycling operators.

Combined with a hydraulic quick hitch and high-tipping shovel capacity of 2.3 cubic metres, Franz Kremer, managing director of Kremer Recycling, said he is delighted with the pair of Hyundai wheel loaders at work and believes in the long-term performance and reliability will pay dividends for the business.

‘We are happy with the performance, consumption and, above all, Tecklenborg's very good and fast service, a decisive factor in our purchasing decision,’ commented Mr Kremer.

As well as being fuel-efficient, the wheel loader boasts numerous environmentally friendly features, including a programmable automatic engine shutdown function that prevents unnecessary fuel consumption and the occurrence of an idling motor.

The HL940XT comes with a standard five-speed transmission with direct-drive clutch and an Eco Gauge, which encourages economical operation by providing the operator with a visual reference of the machine’s fuel efficiency, total fuel consumption and average fuel data. In addition, a ‘travel speed limit control’ feature limits the maximum speed within a 20–40km/h range to suit diverse working conditions, improving operational efficiency.

For added fuel economy, the wheel loader comes with ICCO (intelligent clutch cut-off) hydraulic lock differential. When selecting the H-mode, the ICCO reduces the loss of power on the torque converter, improving both fuel efficiency and productivity by preventing tyre slip during operation.

For enhanced operator comfort, the 10% larger ROPS/FOPS cabin on the HL940XT features a fully adjustable seat and an ergonomic working environment. The cabin is also fully soundproof using the latest noise-reduction technology, while an electro-hydraulic control lever allows operators to handle attachments with ease, resulting in increased productivity and a reduction in fatigue.

For operator convenience, the HL940XT loader is equipped with an ‘Infotainment’ system in the form of a 7in-wide touchscreen monitor that connects to the driver’s smartphone via Bluetooth.

As with all HL900-Series wheel loaders, the HL940XT model incorporate a Hyundai onboard weighing system as standard, which has automatic and manual settings for monitoring individual or cumulative bucket load weights.
