British Precast

  • About Us

Tracing its roots back to 1918, The British Precast Concrete Federation (BPCF) is the trade association of precast concrete manufacturers.

The main aims of the federation are to promote precast concrete in the construction market and to disseminate information, through a range of industry representation and by shared knowledge, to add value to its member companies.

Members' interests are continually developed through our team of dedicated professionals who have extensive connections with organisations in the UK and worldwide.

    Membership

British Precast is a highly effective industry federation of member companies, dedicated to improving the business environment for the £2bn precast concrete products industry in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Full Membership is available to producers of precast concrete products with at least one plant in the UK, while Associate Membership is offered to companies and organisations involved in the industry supply chain.

    Standards

The BPCF is represented on relevant BSI committees and provides UK delegates to the CEN committees dealing with precast concrete products. They are uniquely qualified to represent the views of members and report back with current information on the progress and changes to product standards and test methods. Members also receive a discount on standards purchased through BSI.

    Lobbying

The BPCF speaks with authority in advancing the precast industry's interest with Government, the European commission, BSI and CEN, the Health and Safety Executive and other bodies. Developments are continuously monitored and initiatives taken to influence policy. Membership of the Construction Products Association provides direct access to other influential organisations.
