Viby expand UK operations

Trevor Snowball

Danish bucket manufacturer to open dedicated UK office and appoints new UK national sales manager

DANISH bucket manufacturers Viby Attachment are set to open a dedicated UK office and parts depot next month as part of their continued expansion. The move coincides with the appointment of industry stalwart Trevor Snowball (pictured) as the company’s UK national sales manager, reporting to UK director Andrew Little.

The new UK premises, which are scheduled to open on 4 March, will be centrally located at the Centre 500 business park in Newcastle-under-Lyme, near Stoke, Staffordshire, near the junction of the A50 and M6 road network.

Viby say Mr Snowball’s appointment, combined with the launch of the UK headquarters, is part of a concerted drive to capitalize on significant recent sales growth for the company in the UK attachments market.

Andrew Little, who has been promoted from UK national sales manager to director, said: ‘While the sectors we deal with have all experienced challenging times due to the economic climate, Viby have continued to grow their market share here. As a result, the time is right to expand our UK operation.’

He added: ‘I’m delighted to welcome Trevor to the team. He has a fabulous reputation in the industry in terms of knowledge, enthusiasm and integrity, and he brings many years’ experience to the role.’

Mr Snowball has spent the past 30 years of his career working for Komatsu, in both sales and engineering roles. He held his most recent position as Komatsu’s northern area sales manager for seven years before joining Viby Attachment UK Ltd earlier this month.

When the new UK office is launched, Viby will be recruiting additional administration staff, while the parts depot – which will promise a minimum 98% parts availability rate with next-day delivery – will hold a stock of complete standard buckets and attachments, ensuring fast turnaround of new orders whenever possible.
