Valvestock launch industrial pumps offering

Andy Walsh to head new operation targeting industrial pump projects in key sectors

VALVESTOCK, the specialist valve and actuator arm of Pipe Center, have established an industrial pumps offering to target the specialist requirements of large-scale projects across the UK, support OEMs and deliver a unique multi-product offering to industrial end-users.

The new operation is being headed by Andy Walsh, who joins Pipe Center from pump manufacturers Ebara. Mr Walsh has more than 25 years’ experience in industrial pumps, with hands-on experience of the HMD Kontro, Wilo, Emu, Grundfos and Lowara ranges, among others.

Marcus Sampson, Valvestock trading manager, said: ‘Andy brings a wealth of experience, market knowledge and drive to help develop our ambitions in the industrial pumps market, and I very much look forward to working with him.’

Mr Walsh will be based at Valvestock’s new premises in Fareham, working alongside valve specialists Stuart Coggan and Steve Ohm, and export co-ordinator Lee Wilson, to support industrial pump projects in several key sectors, including quarrying and mining.

‘We see huge opportunities in these areas for assisting clients with new and replacement pump projects,’ said Mr Walsh. ‘Industrial applications have their own unique challenges, and often require co-ordinating input from a number of disciplines.
