Utranazz launch first trailer concrete boom pump in UK
Utranazz have unveiled the UK’s first trailer-mounted concrete pump with its own placing boom (pictured right). The Chimera trailer pump features a 14m high three-section z-fold boom, which, if another pipeline is added, can pump concrete to a vertical reach of 65m and a horizontal reach of 300m, at 46m3/h.
The unit is mounted on a single-axle trailer (2.9m x 1.75m) and can be towed from site to site by a small HGV. Powered by a 106hp four-cylinder DEUTZ engine, the concrete pump is easy to operate as the boom has a 360° slewing range controlled via a remote control with user-friendly joysticks.
Utranazz believe their Chimera trailer-mounted concrete boom pump offers a value-for-money alternative to high-cost traditional truck-mounted pumps, which can encounter problems on jobs with access and weight restrictions.
The compact, versatile design of the trailer pump makes it suitable for many types of concrete pouring jobs, from confined hard-to-reach spaces to housing projects involving three-storey buildings and bungalows.
