TWS to showcase larger AggreSand plant in US

FracStac sand plant

Higher-capacity wash plant and brand new FracStac sand plant to go on show in Fort Lauderdale

TEREX Washing Systems (TWS) are gearing up for an exclusive global dealer and customer event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which will be the first official showcase of the new, larger and higher-capacity model (up to 400 tonnes/h) within the AggreSand range, the AggreSand 206 wash plant.

Central to the development of the AggreSand concept was its modular design, serviceability and functionality, making it quick and easy to set up, and easy to maintain. Customers will also benefit from the full containerization of the machine for ease of transportation, as well as from its pre-wired and pre-plumbed plug-and-play componentry, isolated spray bars, and a simple automated control system.

Garry Stewart, application team lead with TWS, commented: ‘The market has really embraced the AggreSand wash plant concept with exceptional demand at present. To date, we have installed the first AggreSand 206 wash plant in the UK with several more already planned globally. In addition, multiple AggreSand 165 wash plants are operating efficiently around the globe with optimum productive performance.’

In addition, TWS will use the Fort Lauderdale event to officially launch their latest new product, the FracStac. Set to be the world’s first modular frac plant, the new and innovative container-based FracStac (pictured) is designed for the processing of frac sand and other industrial sands.

Sean Loughran, director of TWS, commented: ‘The use of high-quality ‘frac’ sand in oil and gas extraction has seen significant growth in recent years, especially in North America. With no sign of this trend abating, despite falling oil prices, coupled with the spread of fracking activity across the globe in the coming years, we believe this presents an exciting opportunity for TWS, particularly with the announcement of our new product, the FracStac.

‘This truly modular plant allows customers to produce up to three grades of frac sand using proven technology and state-of-the-art controls. Considering the extremely positive feedback we have received from customers and industry experts to date, I am confident this machine will be a game-changer in the frac sand industry.’
