Total dig deep in the heat at Hillhead

Company showcases innovative range of high-performance lubricants, coolants and value-added services at biennial event

ENJOYING a hive of activity on their shared stand at this year’s Hillhead show, sales and technical experts from Total’s Lubricants, Bitumen and Special Fluids divisions, generated a large number of quality leads which, they say, are now busy following up.

Basked in a scorching heatwave during the three-day event, Total highlighted the benefits of their products and services that have been designed to increase productivity, reliability and economy while meeting the latest specifications and manufacturer approvals.

These include: the Total Rubia Works range for engines, the Dynatrans and Fluide ranges for manual and automatic transmissions; the Hydroflo, Equivis ZS and Azolla ZS ranges for hydraulic systems; the Coolelf and Glacelf ranges of anti-freezes and coolant fluids; as well as biolubricant products such as Biotraffic.

Total also demonstrated their unique, in-depth oil analysis and diagnosis service, Total Anac (Analysis Compared), which reduces the likelihood of component failure and the risk of unplanned downtime while increasing off-road equipment lifespan.

As the only fully integrated bitumen supplier in the UK, Total Bitumen have more than 45 years’ experience in the UK market, providing a range of high-quality bitumen products suitable for road, construction and industrial applications – all designed to deliver maximum performance and sustainability.

Total Styrelf, Europe’s leading polymer-modified binder (PMB), is the ideal solution for heavy-duty roads, bridges, airports and port cargo areas due to its exceptional resistance to permanent deformation and cold cracking.

Other bitumen brands include: Emulsis, a PMB emulsion for surface treatments; Azalt ECO2, a low-temperature asphalt binder; Kromatis, a clear binder for coloured asphalts; and Altek, a specialist industrial bitumen.

‘Despite the heatwave, Hillhead 2018 was a real success for Total,’ said Lorraine Adams, area business manager for Total Lubricants. ‘We generated some good quality leads and visitors to the stand were impressed by our range of high-quality, innovative products and added-value services, all designed to help them drive down their fleet operating costs.

‘Visitors also enjoyed our Citroen C3 WRC driving simulator, which provided welcome respite from the sun for all those rally driver wannabes.’
