Tillicoultry acquire four CEMEX concrete plants

Tillicoultry Quarries

CEMEX divest certain ready-mixed concrete assets in Scotland as part of portfolio rebalancing strategy

CEMEX UK announced today [5 November] that they have signed a binding agreement to sell four ready-mixed concrete plants in Scotland to Tillicoultry Quarries, for an undisclosed sum.

The plants being divested are in Dundee, Greenock, Cardenden, and Perth and were identified as part of CEMEX’s portfolio rebalancing strategy to focus on high-growth metropolitan markets.

Employees working at the four sites will transfer to Tillicoultry Quarries in accordance with TUPE regulations, and both management teams have been working closely to ensure a successful transition.

CEMEX say they remain committed to the UK market and still retain a substantial integrated business providing a wide range of sustainable building materials solutions.
