Three Extecs for Northern Ireland

Belfast-based Eastwood Demolition have purchased a C-12 jaw crusher, an E-7 screen and a 3600 heavy-duty shredder from Extec Screens & Crushers Ltd. The machines will be used to process leftover material from the company’s core demolition and waste-recycling operations.

One of the main challenges facing Eastwood Demolition is in reclaiming concrete from a concrete structure and the removal of embedded re-bar. John Eastwood, managing director, commented: ‘The process of separating re-bar from waste concrete translates into saleable products, with the recovery of both concrete and steel. The downtime associated with this process is significantly reduced thanks to the C-12’s hydraulic jaw adjustment and reverse crushing action.’

The company use the Extec E-7 and 3600 shredder to process large quantities of C&D waste, with the E-7 helping to create a range of products when used in combination with the C-12.
