Specialized aggregates, concrete and mining sector expertise to deliver added value for customers

COMPRESSED air and fluid power specialists Thorite have created a new team offering bespoke expertise to the aggregates, concrete, and mining (ACM) sectors. It is the latest development in a £3.6 million investment programme by the Bradford-based company, aimed at enhancing its customer service offer.

The ACM team brings together Thorite specialists who understand the unique challenges faced by the three sectors and have a wealth of experience in providing tailored solutions. They offer technical consultation and the design, build, and commissioning of pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and process control systems, supported by a stockholding of 70,000 products from more than 100 global brands.

Thorite’s ACM team manager, Duncan McGuire, said: ‘We have a wealth of expertise and in-the-field experience in the aggregates, concrete, and mining sectors at Thorite, developed over many decades. The creation of the ACM team consolidates these capabilities.

‘We offer bespoke solutions ranging from small assemblies to fully automated smart systems, but all have the singular aim of helping our customers to improve system performance and increase the speed, productivity, reliability, and efficiency of their equipment.’

Thorite have already established specialist teams to serve the specific needs of the food and drink industry and energy-recovery facilities, and created an Energy Saving Solutions service to help customers across all industrial sectors reduce their energy use, optimize operational efficiency, and achieve long-term financial savings.

The investment programme has also included: building expanded new headquarters to bring Thorite’s Bradford sales and service centre, aftermarket services, systems design and build, training academy, and national distribution centre on to one site; refurbishing their other nine regional sales and service branches; and expanding their service engineer and field and telesales teams.
