The Aggregates Industry – A Market Perspective

IQ webinar on ‘The Aggregates Industry – A Market Perspective’

BDS Marketing Research to conclude Institute of Quarrying Academy ‘Lunch and Learn’ 2018 Series

THE final Institute of Quarrying (IQ) Academy ‘Lunch & Learn’ webinar of 2018 aims to provide a market-based view of the aggregate industry.

Hosted by Andy Sales, director of specialist market research consultancy BDS Marketing Research, the webinar will take place on Thursday 20 December, between 12:30–13:00, and will examine the aggregates industry from a market perspective.

Mr Sales said: ‘The aggregates industry plays a pivotal and fundamental role in enabling the Government and commercial companies to deliver planned schemes for infrastructure, housing, retail, industrial and all other construction sectors. Without an adequate and well-planned source of aggregates and a national network of producing companies, this would be impossible to deliver.

‘This webinar provides a market-based view of the aggregates industry to help create an awareness of historical trends in the marketplace, the leading producers and how they have evolved, and key industry issues including the planning process, Brexit, and infrastructure projects, to name but a few.’

James Thorne, chief executive officer of IQ, added: ‘Since launching our highly popular ‘Lunch & Learn’ programme at the beginning of this year, we’ve received nothing but positive feedback. Sessions offer great continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities and are a compact education resource covering issues in the mineral extraction industry.

‘As the 2018 series comes to a close with industry expert Andy Sales, we’re delighted to confirm that ‘Lunch & Learn’ will return in the New Year with sessions already in the pipeline.’
