Terex Trucks sign new dealer in Texas

Terex Trucks

B-C Equipment Sales appointed as Scottish-based manufacturer’s official dealers for South Texas

B-C Equipment Sales Inc. have been appointed as the new official dealers for Terex Trucks in South Texas, and will be selling, renting and leasing Terex Trucks’ TA300 and TA400 articulated haulers as well as providing parts and service.

With its plentiful mineral resources, Texas is one of the main producers of crushed rock, sand and grave, cement, lime and salt in the US, as well as being the leading crude oil and natural gas-producing state in the country.

B-C Equipment Sales have dominated the local construction equipment dealer market for the past 32 years, ever since Bill Lathrop and his wife Cathy decided to go into business together. Today, the family-run company employs 12 technicians and has a customer network covering four major areas in South Texas: Corpus Christi, San Antonio, LaFeria and Laredo.

‘We’re thrilled to represent Terex Trucks,’ said Mr Lathrop. ‘Like us, their goal is all about providing the best machines with the best customer service. With the demand for articulated haulers increasing like it is, we’re confident that our customers will be pleased to see that we are now offering proven performers like the TA300 and TA400.’

The TA300 is a proven performer in tough applications ranging from quarries to infrastructure developments and commercial construction projects. Powered by a Scania DC9 engine, this articulated hauler has a maximum payload capacity of 28 tonnes, a maximum torque of 1,880Nm and can achieve a gross power of 370hp (276kW).

With a heaped capacity of 23.3 cubic metres (38 tonnes) and a maximum torque of 2,255Nm, the TA400 articulated hauler is well suited to customers working on large-scale construction projects, mines and quarries. Both machines come with hydrostatic power steering and hydraulic braking systems, to help ensure a safe and comfortable ride.
