Terex Finlay launch new C-1554 mobile cone crusher

New tracked machine positioned at the top end of the Terex Finlay cone crusher range

POSITIONED at the top end of the Terex Finlay tracked mobile cone crusher range, the new C-1554 machine is said to be the ultimate mobile solution for any aggregates producer or contractor looking for a high output capacity, large reduction ratios and excellent cubical shape.

The C-1554’s aggressive crushing action is provided by the machine’s proven Terex MVP450x cone crusher that can accept an all-in feed and features fuel-efficient, variable-speed, direct-drive transmission through a wet clutch, together with fully hydraulic closed-side setting (CSS) adjustment with associated electronic monitoring system.

According to Terex Finlay, the advanced engineering of the MVP cone crusher sets a number of industry benchmarks, including the incorporation of a patented Rollercone roller bearing design and hydro-pneumatic tramp iron relief system with automatic reset. These features, says the company, combine to give operators a highly efficient crushing action, high performance and low cost per tonne.

The large hopper/feeder on the C-1554 cone crusher features an automated metal-detection and purge chute system, to protect the cone and reduce downtime by identifying and removing any metal contaminants.

‘We knew that this new model would give be a game changer in terms of production capacity. The increased productivity, functionality and serviceability of the MVP450x chamber has consistently impressed operators of the machine during testing,’ commented Terex Finlay product development manager Alan Witherow. ‘The results have been outstanding and, ultimately, will deliver significant revenue streams and profitability for our customers.’

Additional features and benefits of the C-1554 include: rapid set-up time, ease of maintenance, and advanced electronic plant control and telemetry systems for ease of operation.
