Tarmac recognized for commitment to the armed forces
Company awarded Silver status in Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme
TARMAC have been awarded Silver status in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for their ongoing commitment to supporting the armed forces community.
The award recognizes Tarmac’s commitment to creating career opportunities for veterans, reservists, and service leavers, as well as providing practical support to employees with links to the military.
Achieving Silver status highlights the company’s strong pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant, which ensures that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly and supported in the workplace.
Tarmac have worked closely with armed forces organizations to create pathways into employment and have introduced measures to support employees who are members of the reserve forces with the time and flexibility they need for training commitments.
The company is committed to recognizing the transferable skills, leadership, and resilience that ex-military personnel bring, and to offering them fulfilling career opportunities across its operations.
Suzie Batson, national talent acquisition manager at Tarmac, said: ‘We are incredibly proud to have been awarded Silver status in recognition of our support for the armed forces community.
‘Veterans, reservists, and adult cadet force volunteers make an invaluable contribution to our industry, and we are committed to ensuring they feel supported, valued, and able to thrive in their careers with Tarmac.’
