Taking Advantage

"US Manufacturers Al-Jon have launched their new Advantage range of high-powered, hydrostatic-drive landfill compactors, powered by 500hp, 525hp and 600hp (375kW, 390kW and 450kW) John Deere engines. The 58-tonne, 600hp model is said to be the largest and most powerful compactor of its kind in the world."

"The first of the new units in the UK –– two 45-tonne, 500hp machines –– have recently been delivered by Manchester-based dealers CSJ Al-Jon, one to Cory Environmental’s 900-acre landfill site at Mucking in Essex, which takes some of the 600,000 tonnes of waste a year from west and central London, and the other to Devon Waste Management at their Deep Moor landfill site near Torrington."

"A major feature of the new machines is their five-year, 10,000h warranty covering the entire driveline and the Macpactor Diamond teeth."
