Located in a purpose-built warehouse near Wolverhampton, Universal Steel UK are a newly formed, ISO 9002-accredited stockholder of both abrasion-resistant and high yield strength steel plate. The company can supply full or part plates in a variety of formats from their stock base of over 1,000 tonnes. In addition, ready-to-assemble components can be supplied profiled, drilled, rolled, bent etc.
Steel grades on offer are: XAR 400 3-120mm thick, wear-resistant plate; XAR 500 4-70mm thick, highly wear-resistant plate; 400 CR 5-25mm thick work-hardening wear-resistant plate; X120Mn12 1.5-30mm thick 11/14% manganese steel plate; and high yield strength 690 N/MM 3-180mm thick plate.
With the support of a major German steel stockholding group, Universal Steel UK say they have a total stock of over 100,000 tonnes at their customers' disposal. Deliveries from Germany into the UK can be effected within 4-5 days.
