Swedish firm officially arrives in UK market following acquisition of O’Donovan Waste and GBN Services 

SORTERA, one of Northern Europe’s leading waste-management operators, have officially launched in the UK, as GBN Services and O’Donovan Waste Disposal formally merge following the company’s acquisition of the two London-based companies last year.

The merger sees Sortera assume responsibility for six existing sites – Rochford, Harlow, Edmonton, Uxbridge, Tottenham, and Wembley – previously owned and operated by GBN and O’Donovan, as well as close to 400 members of staff.

 

Sortera's entry into the UK market follows their resounding success in providing high-quality waste-management solutions in the Nordic region. With an unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability and technological advancement, Sortera aim to spearhead transformative changes within the UK construction, recycling, and waste-management sectors.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the company's expansion into the British market, Mark McCleery, managing director of Sortera UK, commented: ‘We are thrilled to introduce Sortera's innovative approach to waste management in the UK market.
