SlurryPro pump

New coal preparation plant at Belfast docks equipped with heavy-duty centrifugal slurry pumps

LCC Group’s new coal washing and sorting plant at Belfast docks has become the latest European site to benefit from the inclusion of SlurryPro pumps.

Plant manufacturers Dernaseer have incorporated a number of SlurryPro Silver Series heavy-duty centrifugal slurry pumps in and around the site. Supplied by UK-based pump specialists Atlantic Pumps, the installed pumps include SlurryPro 3x2, 4x3, 6x4 and vertical pumps.

According to Atlantic Pumps, SlurryPro pumps are rapidly becoming the go-to choice for many mine and quarry operators, as they are designed for the continuous pumping of highly abrasive, high-density slurries and require minimal maintenance.

Commenting on the inclusion of the SlurryPro pumps at LCC Belfast, Atlantic Pumps’ sales manager, Nathan Rowles, said: ‘We know that customers are looking for top-quality products backed up by a great service. If a customer spends in excess of £1 million on a wash plant, maximizing uptime is the most important thing to them.

‘Increased wear life and fast lead times, as provided by Atlantic Pumps, means that customers can keep their pumps running every minute of the day; we believe that’s what LCC Group and Dernaseer will prove.’
