New 32-tonne Range C460 8x4 RK tipper being used to transport tarmac for United Asphalt

RJ Blundy & Son Ltd, the Reading-based tarmac specialists, have taken delivery of a 32-tonne Renault Trucks Range C460 8x4 RK. The new tipper, supplied by Renault Trucks South, is an addition to the company’s three-strong fleet and is being used to transport tarmac for United Asphalt across the Midlands, South East and South Coast.

Complete with PPG Smoothline insulated tarmac body, the new vehicle comes with an eye-catching gold sleeper cab, silver body, spotlights, lightbars, Dura-Brite alloys and stainless steel toolbox.

Key factors in RJ Blundy’s vehicle selection included favourable experiences with Renault Trucks and excellent customer service, as director Steve Blundy explained: ‘I bought a Renault Trucks ex-demo model four years ago which has been a great truck and I’ve had family members who have also had similarly positive experiences. I was particularly impressed by the size of the new cab on the Range C and overall it offers great value for money.’

However, it was the excellent customer service from the Renault Trucks’ team that was the real deal maker. ‘The salesman, Rob Coxon, was fantastic, and although I was only buying one truck, he made me feel like I was buying hundreds,’ said Mr Blundy. ‘He was so helpful, as were all the office staff and workshop team. Nothing is ever too much trouble and I know that if there’s ever a problem, it will get sorted quickly and without any fuss.’

Commenting on the deal, Mr Coxon of Renault Trucks South, said: ‘I’m delighted that RJ Blundy & Son have chosen the Range C as the latest addition to their fleet. We all worked closely with Steve to deliver a vehicle that was right for his business needs and I very much hope he will come back to us for any future vehicle requirements.’
