Raymond Brown purchase further Bell loaders

Bell L2106E wheel loader

Aggregates and waste firm takes delivery of five more L2106E wheel loaders from Bell Equipment

HAMPSHIRE-based Raymond Brown has purchased five new wheel loaders from Bell Equipment following the successful performance of their first three Bell loaders bought last year. The move means Raymond Brown now operates one of the largest Bell wheel loader fleets in the UK.

The additional L2106E loaders are being utilized across the company’s Aggregates and Waste Solutions divisions, working in quarrying and recycling operations, including the processing of incinerator ash.

Nick Moth, group plant manager for Raymond Brown, said the latest order was the result of the first Bell machines performing up to 2,000 hours trouble-free and meeting the company’s expectations. He added that the Bells had been extremely well received by site managers and plant operators alike.

The wide variety of Raymond Brown’s operations demands machinery that can cross application boundaries effortlessly. Bell machines achieve this by offering the highest ‘as standard’ specification in the industry, and one machine has been fitted with Bell’s advanced fleet-management system, Fleetmatic, thus becoming the first Bell wheel loader in the world to be trialled with this system.

Nick Learoyd, managing director of Bell Equipment UK, said: ‘Raymond Brown have bucked the trend during the last few years, through diversification of their operations but also because they spend a great deal of time and effort on the finer details of their business. This is particularly the case in terms of the attention they have given to plant performance and purchasing.

‘For Bell to have received such a fantastic order on the back of three loaders sold to Raymond Brown last year means we have clearly proven our machines are among the best. The endorsement our loaders have received from Raymond Brown is a massive boost for Bell’s growing recognition in the market.’
