At Hillhead 2007 County Tyrone-based Quarryfix say they received an excellent response to their concrete batching systems, with the Batchmaster 3000 unit displayed on the company’s stand creating much interest from existing and prospective customers.
Launched in 2005, the modular, low-level Batchmaster range (2000, 3000 and 4000 models) has been designed to provide customers with a cost-effective and reliable means of batching concrete. Key features of the series include: two, three or four bins of 25-tonne capacity; a horizontal belt-weigher and inclined truck fill conveyor together with 30-, 50-, 60- or 100-tonne cement silos; and a fully automated Alkon control system.
For small-scale jobs, Quarryfix’s smallest unit, the Minibatch, employs a single-bin mounted on load-cells, with an integrated computer-controlled weighing system that can batch directly into a truckmixer. The unit is fully mobile/towable with a fifth-wheel arrangement fitted as standard.
Among their recent successes, Quarryfix have sold a batching system to Muckish Sand and Gravel of Co. Donegal, suppliers of concrete to main contractors Ascon Ltd for the Mulroy Bay Bridge scheme, and supplied a Batchmaster horizontal silo to Co. Galway-based Kilbride Sand and Gravel for an unusual ship-mounted application. Meanwhile, Batchmaster 4000 systems have been sold to several Irish customers including Hudson Bros, McCullagh Flooring and Slattery Concrete. The company has also launched its first Easi Mix precast batching system and sold one to McMahon Concrete in Co. Limerick.
The latest news from Quarryfix is that they have acquired highly successful Euro Truck Mixers Ltd and can now offer their customers truckmixer units, replacement drums, reblading services and parts. Under the brand name Euromixer, they can also supply the innovative articulated trailer mixer.
