Planning go-ahead

"After more than nine years of negotiations, planning permission has finally been secured for a 23-million-tonne extension to Hanson’s Tytherington limestone quarry in south Gloucestershire. Before work can commence, however, a public inquiry is to be held into the closure of a lane that splits the existing quarry from the extension."
