Operators saddle up for Case Rodeo competition

Case Construction dealers and customers to take part in 2011 European Rodeo operator competition

FOLLOWING an inaugural European championship last year, operators of Case Construction products are honing their skills at the controls in preparation for the return of the 2011 Case Rodeo competition.

This year the company will be extending the event tour, which will include local heats in a number of European countries during the summer with the UK ones taking place in early June.

Competitors will be expected to show off their skills in a range of machines, from skid steers and backhoe loaders to large excavators and wheel loaders. Operators will have to demonstrate technical skill, safe working practices and productive capability.

The European competition will also allow dealers and customers to take a closer look at the latest Case construction machinery, which were launched at Samoter and CONEXPO earlier this year. These include the new C-Series crawler excavators and F-Series wheel loaders.

The competition will start in France and Germany this month, while the Spanish, Italian, Scandinavian and Polish operators will get a chance to try their hand during the summer. The first UK roadshow will take place at the headquarters of Miller UK in Cramlington, Northumberland, on 2 and 3 June.

Case operators in Finland will have their own Rodeo event in September. The final heats will also take place in that month, before the grand final at the Case Customer Centre Paris in October.
