Nordberg Travelling Scholarship

THE Nordberg Travelling Scholarship for 2005, which is worth between £1,500 and £2,000, is currently being offered to any member of The Institute of Quarrying aged between 21 and 30 years.

The scholarship is intended to meet, either in part or in full, the costs of a study tour related to the work of the award holder in the quarrying industry. The applicant is expected to submit an outline of the proposed tour with their application form and a written report within six months of completing the tour.

The recipient of the award is decided by a sub-committee of the Institute’s Education Committee together with a representative of the donor company, Nordberg (now Metso), and the executive director.
